We had a new roof put on a home we had just purchased. "Country" came out and gave us an estimate. He got on the roof and really looked around unlike another roofing company we had come out for an estimate. Jayhawk put on a wonderful roof and did an excellent job. we are not finding any roofing nails in the yard or old shingles laying around either like we have had in the past. SUPER company!!!

They arrived on time and did a super job. my new roof looks GREAT! "Country" called us before putting on new plywood so we would know ahead of time that it would be a little more. They left no mess behind and were a pleasure to deal with. if i ever need a new roof this is who I will call. A++++++

We had been having some issues with our roof since we bought the house last October (mostly due to the November Nor'easter). We decided to go ahead and get a new roof as it had been about 13 years since the house was built and the most cheap builders' grade materials were used.

We did our homework and called out to several contractors to get estimates and do interviews. The time was a little off because we were going on vacation the following week so some we had to postpone others just said they would call us back etc...We worked with Arnie, and while on vacation he came to our house, did the measurements, estimate, and even left a folder for us when we got back with their company info, references (extremely professional looking). Once we got back we sat down with Arnie and discussed pricing, which was the highest individual price for a contractor, however by very little, and that was mostly because of the warranty which very few contractors in this area can offer, small price for peace of mind. He was very low-pressure, and understood our situation with interviewing other contractors. The next day we decided to go with Jayhawk, and Arnie came out with colors and answered a few more of our questions. Within two days we received a called that the crew would be coming out on Monday (less than a week after initial meeting) to begin installing the new roof. The crew showed up around 7 in the morning, roaring to go. Your front and backyard will look like war zones when they take the old roof off, but their clean up efforts are unmatched. Over the course of the two day installation, Arnie was onsite for most of the installation and kept a very good eye on what was being done. They even took off the satellite dish that we didn't use (per our request). After about a day the installation was done, Arnie called to make sure we were happy with the roof. A rundown of what we got: Complete Roof Replacment (Around 2800 sq ft)30-year Architect Shingles System Plus Warranty (rated at 130 MPH) I have already referred a couple of friends to them, and overall I was extremely pleased and by far the best experience I have had with any contractor since becoming a homeowner.

Entire roof replacement. Old roof was 15yrs old and started to leak. New roof included a new exhaust vent for roof ridge.

Overalll experience was great. They arrived on time and were quick to finish the job but no so quick as to have it inspected by their 25 year veteran numerous times throughout the installation. The representative was very friendly and helpful. He left color samples with us to decide and when we still couldn't make up our minds, he was able to give us recent jobs completed by them that were close by and we were able to see and decide for ourselves. We ended up going with his color recommendation and we were very glad we did. It really made a difference. The representative even temporarily repaired our roof until the replacement was even scheduled without any cost or obligation. That showed me this guy had integrity! The Positives: Very quick, nice clean up and the 25 years of experience showed. The Negatives: Not told about having the Direct TV dish having to be removed and that I needed to get it reinstalled. Luckily, I was able to call and have a technician install it the next day for $56. Not too big of a deal but it would have been nice to prepare. I highly recommend Jayhawk Exteriors for your roofing needs.

Jayhawk Exteriors work consisted of reroofing a two story house including 3 bay windows, reroofing a medium size shed, and installing ridge vents on the house.

Arnie, the estimator and also the work site supervisor, was very straightforward and kept me apprised of progress at all times. They were punctual!!! I was truly impressed with the work ethic of the 4 person crew led by Arnie. It was a pleasure watching the cohesiveness of the team. No time wasted. Project was 99% completed on the first day before sunset. They came by the next day to ensure the job was properly completed. I was so impressed that I'm having this company also do the trimming of my house.

To Whom It May Concern: I am writing you today to express my appreciation for the professionalism of your company. I am a single mom of four who works three jobs and cost, dependability and the quality of work may have been more of a concern to me than others. I had already determined that I wanted a Class A contractor who would have the licensing and insurance necessary to be truly responsible for their work and able to back it up in the event that a problem occurred. You membership with the Better Business Bureau was a plus for me and further gave me confidence in hiring you. The first job I needed the company to perform was to replace my shingle roof. However, Michael convinced me of the merits of choosing colors for all future projects (windows, siding, doors, etc.) and the having them approved prior to beginning any work. I have a homeowners association so that process was anything but expedient. The roofing crew showed up the agreed upon day and time and Michael was onsite to ensure everything went smoothly. They did the job and equally important did the clean up. Michael know I wanted to begin the windows and doors in a few months and waited patiently until my budget allowed for it and for me to schedule the job. He was onsite for the duration of the windows and doors to both supervise and to do the beautiful custom metal work on my windows. I have just scheduled my siding and deck to be done and am looking forward to the completion of the exterior of my home. Michael is an excellent representative of your company as his dedication, professionalism and high quality standards supersedes all others and responds quickly to any emails I would send him. It is unfortunate that I did not take before and after pictures of the work your company performed on my house but feel free to give future customers my email address if they would like to speak to a satisfied customer. To Whom It May Concern:

During the November 2009 Nor’easter, our old roof leaked horribly. After the storm, we decided to research different roofing options. After scouting the Better Business Bureau website, we scheduled 6 roofing companies to come out to give us estimates. Several were no shows, some came late, several came while we were at work and left estimates in our mailbox. Mike Higgins of Jayhawk Exteriors adjusted his work schedule to come out to hour house when we would be home. He came on time, and gave my husband an accurate, succinct assessment of our roof and a written estimate.

After narrowing down our choices to 3 estimates, we decided on Jayhawk Exteriors. After making our decision, project manager Mike Higgins met with us to review the contract and answer any further questions. The actual tear off and new tiling of our roof was completed in about 12 working hours (including on Christmas Eve!) The workers were friendly, unobtrusive and hard working. The final cost of our project was exactly the estimated cost. No add-ons, no hidden fees. Mike Higgins was available during the entire project for our questions and concerns.

We are pleased with our new roof and the work that was done. The best part? No more water pouring in our living room every time it rains. Jayhawk Exteriors and our project manager, Mr. Mike Higgins were professional, honest and a pleasure to work with.

We would like to personally thank Arnie Ireland and his crew at Jayhawk Exteriors for everything they have done over the last several weeks. We called Arnie and he agreed to meet with us and answer any questions we had regarding the upcoming project at our church. He was very professional and patient with us. He showed up early each morning to give instructions to the work crews and was available to answer questions we had throughout the process.

The work crews themselves were professional. Subject: Commendation for a job well done.

Commending a contractor who installed a roof on ones home may seem somewhat unusual but in my opinion and yet in order especially when one is not use to such an outstanding job. On June 15, 2004 we entered into
a contract with Mr. James Howerin AKA Chili with Jayhawk Exteriors of course after seeing some of his craftsmen ship in and around other communities. Chili gave me a time he and his crew would arrive on the
21st and what to expect and he arrived on time and did ONE outstanding job on my roof and outbuildings. We are very pleased with our new roofs and strongly recommend him to any other homeowners. I was really
impressed with the cleanup and as of yet have not found one nail removed from the roofs. I had an estimate from another well known contractor who stated we received a quality job and in a time frame which he not match.

If anyone would like to see the work mentioned above have them to stop by and examine it. If they have any questions I would also try my best to answer them. Again, Mr. Chili thank you for a job well done.
